Description

Hand-carved and hand-painted Norwegian wooden ale bowl known as a kjenge (or dragon-headed drinking bowl), featuring traditional rosemaling floral painting and a carved dragon or horse-like head with an extended tongue. The text banner painted along the side reads "I gamle dage...", which translates from Norwegian to "In the old days...". It's design resembles a Viking longship in some aspects, but is not directly connected to Vikings.
