Title: Copy of Hugo Höppener's "Yggdrasil"
Submitted by: Joja Moo-moo
Description: Copy of Hugo Höppener's "Yggdrasil" painting, depicting the World Tree and the Norns, whose names (Urd, Verdandi, Skuld) are written at the bottom in a red ribbon. Hugo Höppener was a German painter and esoteric who felt that the "blood and soil" (Blut und Boden) idea in Nazism fit with his own ideas around the human spirit and veneration of nature, and thus joined the party. The original painting had swastikas in the top corners.
